Fun Fur Mitts

Materials
2 x 50g balls fun fur, 5.50mm hook, large needle for sewing in ends.

Notes
I used 1 ball for each mitt.  You can make the cuff longer by adding more rows after row 12, or make the hand longer by adding more rows after row 29.

 

UK Instructions

Ch 22, ss to 1st ch to form a loop
Row 1:  Ch 1, dc in each ch to end, ss to 1st ch, turn.  (22 sts)
Rows 2-12:  Ch 1, dc in each dc, ss to 1st ch, turn.
Row 13:  Ch 1, dc in next 10 dc, 2 dc in each of next 2 dc, dc in next 10 dc, ss to 1st ch, turn.  (24 sts)
Row 14:  Ch 1, dc in next 10 dc, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 10 dc, ss to 1st ch, turn.  (26 sts)
Row 15:  Ch 1, dc in next 10 dc, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 10 dc, ss to 1st ch, turn.  (28 sts)
Row 16:  Ch 1, dc in each dc, ss to 1st ch, turn.
Row 17:  Ch 1, dc in next 11 dc, mark last st worked, dc in next 7 dc, ch 2, ss to marked dc, leave remaining dc of row 16 unworked, turn.  (18 dc and 2 ch)

Make thumb
Row 1:  Ch 1, dc in each of next 2 ch, dc in next 8 dc, ss to 1st ch, turn.  (10 sts)
Rows 2-5:  Ch 1, dc in each dc, ss to 1st ch, turn.
Fasten off and sew in ends.

Row 17(cont): Rejoin yarn to last dc worked of row 17, dc in next 10 dc, ss to 1st ch of row 17.
Row 18:  Ch 1, dc in next 10 dc, dc in unused loops of each of 2 ch at base of thumb, dc in next 10 dc, ss to 1st ch, turn.
Rows 19-29:  Ch 1, dc in each dc, ss to 1st ch, turn.
Fasten off and sew in ends.

US Instructions
