Notes
I used 1 ball for each mitt.  You can make the cuff longer by adding more rows after row 12, or make the hand longer by adding more rows after row 29.

Make thumb
Row 1:  Ch 1, dc in each of next 2 ch, dc in next 8 dc, ss to 1^st ch, turn.  (10 sts)
Rows 2-5:  Ch 1, dc in each dc, ss to 1^st ch, turn.
Fasten off and sew in ends.

Ch 22, ss to 1^st ch to form a loop
Row 1:  Ch 1, sc in each ch to end, slst to 1^st ch, turn.  (22 sts)
Rows 2-12:  Ch 1, sc in each sc, slst to 1^st ch, turn.
Row 13:  Ch 1, sc in next 10 sc, 2 sc in each of next 2 sc, sc in next 10 sc, slst to 1^st ch, turn.  (24 sts)
Row 14:  Ch 1, sc in next 10 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 10 sc, slst to 1^st ch, turn.  (26 sts)
Row 15:  Ch 1, sc in next 10 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 10 sc, slst to 1^st ch, turn.  (28 sts)
Row 16:  Ch 1, sc in each sc, slst to 1^st ch, turn.
Row 17:  Ch 1, sc in next 11 sc, mark last st worked, sc in next 7 dc, ch 2, slst to marked dc, leave remaining sc of row 16 unworked, turn.  (18 sc and 2 ch)

Make thumb
Row 1:  Ch 1, sc in each of next 2 ch, sc in next 8 sc, slst to 1^st ch, turn.  (10 sts)
Rows 2-5:  Ch 1, sc in each sc, slst to 1^st ch, turn.
Fasten off and sew in ends.

Row 17(cont): Rejoin yarn to last sc worked of row 17, sc in next 10 sc, slst to 1^st ch of row 17.
Row 18:  Ch 1, sc in next 10 sc, sc in unused loops of each of 2 ch at base of thumb, sc in next 10 sc, slst to 1^st ch, turn.
Rows 19-29:  Ch 1, sc in each sc, slst to 1^st ch, turn.
Fasten off and sew in ends.
