Notes

Adjusting the yarn or thread and the hook size will give a whole range of different sized stars.

UK Instructions

1^st side
Ch 4, ss to 1st ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 4, (counts as 1st dtr) 19 dtr in to ring, ss to 4th ch, turn. (20 sts)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, *dc in next dtr, miss next dtr, (3tr, dcp, 3 tr) in next dtr, miss next dtr, repeat from * 4 more times, ss to 1st ch, fasten off.

2^nd side
Follow instructions for 1^st side but do not fasten off. Place both sides together, matching all sts. Continue with edging as follows.

Joining Row
Ch 1, (dc 2 tog, dc in next tr, 3 dc in next dc, working in unused loops of 2 ch, miss next ch, 3 dc in next ch, dc in next tr, dc2tog, dc in next dc) 4 times, dc 2 tog, dc in next tr, 3 dc in next dc, 10 ch, ss in 1st ch, (forms hanging loop), working in unused loops of 2 ch, miss next ch, 3 dc in next ch, dc in next tr, dc2tog, dc in next dc, ss to 1st ch, fasten off.

US Instructions
