Turquoise Skirt

Materials:
Size 5 cotton crochet thread, 2 metres of suitable fabric, 2mm hook, tapestry needle, elastic to fit.

Notes:
Ch 3 at beginning of each row (turning chain) counts as 1 tr (US - 1 dc).  All other chains worked in pattern count as 1 st.  You can use whatever materials you want to adjust the size of the inserts.  You may find it easier to use a smaller hook to work the first row into the fabric.

Tension:
14 sts and 7 rows of tr to 5cm/2inches using given materials.

Cutting Fabric
Cut a waistband then divide the rest of the fabric into 6 equal panels as shown.  Hem the bottom edge on each panel.

Row 2:  Ch 3, tr in next tr, tr in next tr, 2 tr in 4th ch, turn.  (5 sts)
Rows 3 to 39:  Follow graph

Edging:  Ch 1, 2 dc in each row end, 4 dc in unused loops of 1st ch, 2 dc in each row end.  Fasten off.  Sew ends in.  (82 sts)
